The Marquette County Ambassadors, a committee of the Lake Superior Community Partnership, is comprised of officials and executives of area businesses, organizations and municipalities. The Ambassadors are organized for the purpose of carrying the story of the Marquette County area to others, to salute those who deserve recognition because of a new investment in the Marquette community, to create better community relations, and to help instill pride and confidence in the community through its citizens. The Ambassadors participate in and host annual legislative events, and regularly correspond with local, regional, and state-wide elected officials, and are committed to a more regional perspective of issues and challenges facing the businesses and citizens of Marquette County and the entire Upper Peninsula. Economic Development Corporation The Economic Development Corporation of Marquette County (EDC) is organized pursuant to Act 338 of Michigan Public Acts of 1974, as amended. Meetings are held at 8:00 am on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the LSCP office, and are open to the public. Click here to learn more about the EDC.
